The Sim Card Reader is the component on that mainboard (logic board) that the sim card try slips into, and is responsible for making contact with the contact points on the sim card that allow the phone to read the information from it. Please note: This component needs to be soldered to the mainboard, and should only be attempted by a technician who is skilled in this type of repair.
